Ceilidh

We are delighted that we have secured the Danse McCabre Ceilidh Band again as they proved such a success last year. To emphasise that we are a “Scottish Hellenic” Society, the band will also include one or two Greek dances in their programme.
The ticket entry costs are:
- Members: £10 for adults and senior school children; £5 for primary school children; no charge for under 5s.
- Non-members: £15 for adults and senior school children; £5 for primary school children; no charge for under 5s
The entry includes the traditional stovies with oatcakes and beetroot, shortbread and mince pies; there will also be macaroni cheese for vegetarians. A vegan option can be made available if requested. Drinks will be on a “bring your own” basis for both soft drinks and alcohol; we will supply plastic glasses and water. There will be a raffle to win exclusive bottles of whisky and gin.
Bookings must be made and entry fees paid no later than 28 February, as we need to know the final numbers for catering purposes. This is a ticket only event and there will be no admission without tickets.
Please note the following:
- You should email our Treasurer, Mike Shanks, at mandpshanks@gmail.com stating how many tickets (member and non-member adults and children) are being requested with the names of all those attending
- The payment due should be made by bank transfer to the Society account: sort code 82-60-16; account number 10019123, giving your name, total number of tickets and the word “Ceilidh”
- Mike will reply confirming your purchase in an email which will be your ticket and which you must bring with you to the event
- If you cannot use bank transfer, you can send a cheque with the details of the tickets required and a contact email address for a reply to: Mr M Shanks, Westerton Farm, Aberlour AB38 9NS
